How to change the wick of your vape?
After a certain amount of time and usage, the resistance wire becomes weakened, and leakage issues may occur. In this case, when vaping, a burnt taste is experienced. This is a sign that it is time to change the wick of your vape.
In general, the wick is changed every three weeks to keep the vapor quality good and prevent it from tasting burnt. It is also advisable to change the wick when the e-liquid is adjusted to them.
Changing the wick requires patience and focus. The wick must be properly positioned to achieve good vapor performance and avoid leaks. To do this, a few steps must be followed:
- Remove the atomizer from the vape;
- thoroughly clean the entire atomizer and carefully disassemble its parts, making sure to set aside the coil;
- dry all parts and reassemble the atomizer;
- take the new coil and soak it with a few drops of e-liquid;
- install the new coil and fill it with the e-liquid from the bottle; ensure that the
- new coil is well-soaked during the first use after the change, so that the resistance wire heats evenly;
- wait 10 minutes after filling. Replace before using the vape and use it normally.
It is necessary to be careful when changing, to soak the cotton well, in order not to burn the wick during vaping. The new wick must be compatible with the brand of vape and the e-liquid used to maintain and prolong its life.
